Pyrex is made out of borosilicate glass, a special blend of sand, boron and other ingredients. These components are heated to very high temperatures and melted in order to form glass.
What temperature can Pyrex glass cookware resist ?
It is made to be suited to all types of cooking, from slow to fast, in teh oven & microwave. It can withstand temperatures of up to 300°, which is far higher than normal oven temperatures.
