Increasingly more prominent personalities are confessing their passion: whether artists, sportsmen or women, or politicians ? many turn out to be passionate amateur chefs in their leisure time. The trend towards cooking as a leisure activity is evident in the greatly increasing number of pure cooking programmes such as "Ready, Steady, Cook" or cooking slots in big television programmes such as "The Generation Game". These days it is perfectly normal to cook at home with friends at the weekend instead of inviting them out to a restaurant. The shared preparation of an attractive menu also has already generated a buzzword: the new name is "Cookoning".
